  • Overview

    Semper Fortis Solutions, LLC (SFS) is looking for individuals with experience performing network vulnerability assessment and cyber forensics to fill technical analytic positions which support the Digital Media Forensics Team in the 902nd MI Group at Fort Meade, MD.  Experience as an intelligence analyst is desirable; experience providing technical support to military units is beneficial.  Successful applicants will work as part of the TECH OPS staff of the 902nd Military Intelligence Group at Fort Meade, Maryland performing vulnerability assessments, scanning and monitoring Army networks, and assisting with cyber forensic analysis of any compromises of Army networks, systems and/or information.  Semper Fortis is a small business which specializes in solving challenging problems in the information security, enterprise engineering, identity management, encryption management and cyber security business areas for government and commercial clients using our Agile service delivery methodology.

    Responsibilities

    Provide day-to-day intelligence analysis in support of the 902nd MI Group’s digital media forensics responsibilities in support of its overall Cyber Counter-intelligence Activity (CCA) mission set.  This shall include performing vulnerability assessments, scanning and monitoring Army networks, and assisting with cyber forensic analysis of any compromises of Army networks, systems and/or information.  The position shall also help the 902nd MI Group’s Digital Forensic Team to develop new forensic and analytic techniques and tools and assisting in the Team’s assessment of emerging cyber forensic techniques developed by other entities.

     

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide multi-level Cyber Counter-intelligence Activity (CCA) team support by providing technical analysis relating to computer systems, networking and non-standard technical solutions
    • Support the development and provision of solutions to sister units to the 902nd MI Group
    • Assist with the design and construction of tailor-made networks/network enclaves and tradecraft solutions; plan for and provide technical, operational and maintenance support of these tailor-made solutions sets
    • Provide technical, operational and maintenance support of operational networks and systems
    • Support Counter-Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism investigations, inclusive of
      • Developing, designing and delivering new tools and technologies/technology implementations
      • Provide training to individual assigned to the 902nd MI Group on internally developed, unique investigative tools and technologies/technological implementations
      • Evaluations of emerging forensic technologies
      • Provision of operational security assessments
    • Monitor and maintain the networks for which the 902nd MI Group is responsible
    • Apply technical and forensic analysis to maintain and protect the 902nd MI Group’s capabilities
    • Assist in establishing internal capabilities to support forensic investigations and operations through data repositories to promote transparency and visibility across all elements of the 902nd MI Group
    • Conduct technical analysis to validate operational loads
    • Prepare and submit reports; e.g.
      • Technical Analysis After Action Reports (AARs) of Technical Operations
      • Counter-Intelligence Policy Analysis Technical Operations
      • Counter-Intelligence Technical Analysis of New Technology Exploitation for Technical Operations
      • Counter-Intelligence Technical Analysis White Papers for Technical Operations
      • Counter-Intelligence Technical of Special Projects for Technical Operations
      • Counter-Intelligence Technical Analysis
    • Prepare and provide written reports to Government members of the 902nd MI Group

    Skills/Qualifications:   4 or more years of experience as conducting Cyber forensic studies and analyses desirable.  Security+ Certification or similar required;

    Qualifications

    Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree and/or 4 years of experience working in the arena of cyber forensics
    • Experience performing network monitoring and troubleshooting
    • Experience performing network vulnerability assessments
    • Experience performing network development/building
    • Experience with RED HAT Linux on systems and networks

    Other Desired Skills:

    • Experience conducting cyber forensic analysis of systems, facilities and networks
    • Security exploitation certifications (e.g., Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH); International Council of Electronic Commerce Consultants (EC-Council) Certified Security Analyst (ECSA)
    • Familiarity with the Microsoft or similar family of office applications (i.e., word processing, spreadsheet, presentation application software)
    • Familiarity with the various organizations which comprise the US Intelligence Community or “IC”
    • Ability to present information clearly and concisely in written form
    • Ability to orally brief information clearly and concisely using audiovisual aides [slides]
