Overview

The Digital Media Forensics Team Analyst gathers, identifies and relates data to conduct analysis of management problems and requirements. Follows established modeling and evaluation processes to determine the effectiveness of current operational activities and to determine problem areas and develop solutions. Works with multiple data sources and information systems in support of assignments. Generates a variety of written, non-technical reports to management, indicating solutions or possible alternatives and probability of success. Reports may be recurring or ad hoc based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for CI and CT investigations.
  • Research, design, deploy, and lead training events.
  • Evaluate emerging forensic technologies.
  • Provide operational security assessments and support cyber forensic and cyber security tasks. Perform all phases of the forensic examination of digital media, including on-site and off-site evidence acquisition/seizures, forensic analysis, and reporting, ensuring chain of custody is maintained and that applicable rules of evidence are adhered to.
  • Provide support for incident response activities, intrusion events, and malware analysis.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance required
  • Certified Cyber Forensics Professional (CCFP) or similar certification preferred, but not required

Analyst II

  • Master’s degree + 0-2 years of experience, Bachelor’s degree + 2-4 years of experience, or High School diploma + 8-10 years of direct experience as a Counterintelligence / Counterterrorism Research Analyst

Analyst III

  • Master’s degree + 3-5 years of experience, Bachelor’s degree + 5-7 years of experience, or High School diploma + 11-13 years of direct experience as a Counterintelligence / Counterterrorism Research Analyst
